Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Project Signals collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Effective August 13, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Project Signals website, applications, communications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). It does not govern third-party websites or services that we do not control.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and contact information, including your name, work email address, phone number, company, job-related details, and authentication identifiers.
  • Company and coverage information, including company websites, markets, service areas, specialties, qualification preferences, delivery preferences, and other onboarding responses.
  • Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive transaction, subscription, customer, and payment status information but do not store complete payment-card numbers.
  • Customer content, such as opportunity notes, workflow selections, archived items, inquiry responses, and support communications.
  • Waitlist and inquiry information, including the markets, services, geographies, timelines, and project types that interest you.
  • Technical information, such as IP-derived security signals, browser and device information, request metadata, session cookies, and diagnostic information. Security rate-limit keys are stored in hashed form rather than as raw IP addresses.

3. Information from public and third-party sources

Project Signals monitors public records and official or publicly accessible sources for events that may indicate business opportunities. Those records can include names, business contact details, property or project information, agency records, permit data, procurement materials, and source links. We may also receive information from service providers and from customers who configure or use the Services.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • authenticate users and protect accounts;
  • identify, organize, and deliver relevant opportunity signals;
  • process subscriptions, cancellations, and other transactions;
  • respond to inquiries and evaluate new market coverage;
  • send service, billing, alert, and report communications;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • comply with law and enforce our agreements; and
  • create aggregated or de-identified insights that do not reasonably identify you.

5. Cookies and similar technology

We use cookies and related browser storage that are necessary for authentication, session continuity, security protections, and core site functionality. Disabling these technologies may prevent sign-in, checkout, or other parts of the Services from working correctly.

6. How we disclose information

We may disclose information:

  • to infrastructure and service providers that help us operate the Services, including Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, and Amazon Web Services;
  • within your company account and to users you authorize;
  • to professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or transaction counterparties when reasonably necessary;
  • to comply with legal process or protect rights, safety, and security; and
  • as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not sell personal information for money or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as the Services are currently configured.

7. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it was collected.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update certain account and coverage information through the dashboard, unsubscribe from optional communications using the method provided in the message, or request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law.

Depending on where you live, local law may provide additional rights, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information and to appeal certain decisions. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Project Signals does not currently sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, so there is no such activity to opt out of.

9. Children

The Services are designed for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law.

11. Contact us

To ask a privacy question or submit a privacy request, email reports@project-signals.com and state that your request concerns privacy. Please do not include sensitive personal information in the initial message.
